CUTS, SCRAPES, AND SCRATCHES TOUR

DAY OFF (SC, NC)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We left Chad's and got some coffee. Pat got DeCaf.
Zac didn't...
We met Chad and Josh at the Skater shop he works at and then went to El Burrito for some lunch. SERIOUS place. Really good. Then we went to Manifest and bought the new Stills and the 2004 Album Leaf record. Pleased to report The Stills album has some REALLY good tracks on it.....namely 1, 4, and 5. One of the girls who works there, Kelly, showed us she has a scratch on her finger....
We drove back to Charlotte, NC and stopped into the Manifest there too....no cuts or bruises to be found. Boooooooooring.
Judy cooked us up a huge pasta dinner back at the Rock 'N' Roll Motel and then we hit up the Evening Muse to listen to some music. We also stopped into Sheila's neato-torpedo store called The Rat's Nest. We got some clothes...i bought a new Golden Mesh T-shirt for tomorrow night....very excited. We tooled around some bars...(Phil's and Rira's) then came back to the R 'N' R Motel for some after-hours with the Kosters.
CUTS, SCRAPES, AND SCRATCHES TOUR
University of SC (Columbia, SC)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Perhaps I should define "Rock 'N' Roll Motel." There is a family here in Charlotte, NC known to support music and the people who make it to the extent of allowing touring bands to sleep in their home and feed them INSANE amounts of home-cooked food. (and night caps) This blessed Koster family is made up of Don, Laurie, Dana, Chris, and the matriarch Judy Spinelli. We are very much in their debt and owe them SEVERAL favors, but they owe me one umbrella so for now I'm calling it even.

We woke up in the morning to a huge breakfast of eggs, home fries, sausages, toast, and WHATever else you could possibly want. Judy's a mean cook. We got on the road around 2pm to Columbia, SC and the show got moved inside due to rain. Matt hooked us up with some "mood" lighting and we gave birth to a new song named "Anna." The guys from a great Columbia band called Baumer came down to hang out. We found a guy in the audience with a cut on his ankle...(sorry we forgot yer name dude)

We also met Sarah and Mary.....Mary had a bruise on her leg.

We ate in the school cafeteria (at the "cool" table) and Panda foolishly thought I couldn't make it to the stairs on my hands...

He was right... :(

Chad from Baumer invited us to spend the night at his place, so we found ourselves in a great apartment with his wife baking brownies. Yup. Brownies. Josh came over with his AMAZING puppy named Bella. While I played with the dog, ....K played with this sword.

We were celebrating our album release and some friends told us we're the featured new artist in VIRGIN so I decided to mark the occasion with a couple firsts. I smoked my first cigarette and drank my first beer. **

And by "cigarette" I mean one of these "Vanilla Little Cigars" Zac bought for a dollar....

**Jupiter One does not condone the use of tobacco and/or alcohol. +

+ Unless you put out yer first record.

Anywhoooooooo........we fell asleep at some point and woke up at some point.

Thanks for the hang Chad and Kristen....

Driving Day to NC
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We dropped off my car at Nana & Pop-Pop's house. These are my grandparents and they live in Scotch Plains, NJ. We love them.
After being offered a bowl of Mini-Spooners we noticed our first eligible cut of the tour. Pop-Pop had cut himself shaving!
Zac and I are sick right now so we stopped at the CVS and bought a ton of cold/flu stuff. We loaded up on vitamins and started the 9 hour drive to NC. Made a few stops...nothing of note.....and arrived at the Koster's "Rock 'N' Roll Motel" about 1am. Our main man Donnie was waiting outside for us....
UConn (Storrs, CT)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

We showed up to the outdoor festival and DIDN'T drive over the brand new snake. We ate a lot of meat and played to lots of kids with cotton candy in their hands. We met some nice girls named Monica & Stephanie Tine...

Thanks for bringing us down Amanda!

We found no cuts or bruises :(

CUTS, SCRAPES, AND SCRATCHES TOUR!!!!!

4th of July Show in VA Beach

Happy 4th of July!

We donned our patriotic apparel, played a show with The Influence, and walked around the beach giving a big "sups" to Neptune.

D

Deli Magazine Party @ Galapagos!!!!

There was about 15 bands playing that night...we had fun.....thanks to Deli mag for the support.

We felt a bit patriotic given it was Independence Eve so we made some shirts and had some drinks at Anytime Cafe (which prompted a costume change out front). That's Jeff Taylor hanging with us....

CATCHING UP!

Okay. so Panda reminded me that I still never finished the last couple days of Gordon's First Kiss Tour, so here I go.

DAY 74

Boston, MA (Harper's Ferry)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Pat has a sister named Kerri. She's married to a really skinny/nice guy named Neal. They have two AWESOME kids named Nevan and Birdie. Here's what they look like ....
We pulled up to Kerri's house in the afternoon and sat around the kitchen table telling stories.
Zac took a nap....
I tried "sunning" in the backyard...
Pat learned some ballet moves from Birdie...
and K was trying to convince Nevan to share his ice-pop....
Our friends Cecilia and Jill came up from Providence, RI. We had some drinks before the show with Melissa and Amy then played at Harper's Ferry. Cecilia and Jill took some photos too...
....and that was Gordon's First Kiss Tour
