Sunshower Tour w/ Regina Spektor (Day 3)
Charleston, WV @ the Empty Glass
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
After a night of such emotional import for each member of the band we needed a day off to relax before continuing the tour....each of us spent that time differently:
PAT- Pat got off a subway train hungry and hungover. He realized he lost his bank card and walked from 63rd and Lexington to 9th and 2nd ave. Went to VESELKA for some Beef Stroganov, Pea Soup, Fresh Lemonade, and a chocolate chip cookie. (he also brought back an M&M chocolate chip cookie for a certain drummer cuz he knows that place makes his favorite ones)
*except the clerk gave him one with nuts.
**i hate nuts in my cookies.
***but i still love Pat.
ZAC- Went to the park with his lady and said goodbye to the geese before they migrated south. The geese were funny.
DAVE- Went "hiking" with his cousin Erica in Jersey City's Van Vorst Park.
K- Spent the day trying to teach his 3 year old daughter, Sola, how to say "I'm not that kind of girl." (she can only do it in Japanese so far)
The next morning, Pat, K, and Zac picked me up at my grandparents house in Scotch Plains, NJ. (That was when my grandmother asked me "What did you do on MyFace?" Nana had heard that I put a picture of her on my facebook page. When I explained the difference between MySpace and Facebook, she was still confused and asked, "So it's NOT called Spacebook?")
With that, we all headed for Charleston, WV in the Blaze. Regina's next show is at Constitution Hall in D.C. so we picked up a few shows to play in the meantime.
It's always great getting away from the concrete jungle...
(But we miss it after 6 hours)
Back on tour means back to the FEST-O! (see earlier BLOGs for reference)
We got to The Empty Glass around 9pm and loaded up the gear...Always great to see our dear friends Roadblock, Jackson and LIbby. Somehow we managed to walk away with no pics :( But we DID get to spend time with some new friends Tania and John. We met them at The Sound Factory last tour and they just got engaged...Congratulations!
We crashed in their apartment and left for Tudor's first thing in the morning....BISCUITS!
(3 Mountaineers and 1 Golden Eagle please)
