DAY 35
Marquette, MI
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Way Way Way Up North there's a magical place called Marquette. It's in the Upper Penninsula and borders Lake Superior.
It's still cold up there (hence the ice)
But the weather was nice enough to take a leisurely stroll and hang out on the jetty.
Panda made a furry friend.
We played a show at Upfront & Co., then headed to our new friends' house. The boys from People In Planes came along...
When we got to the house we found a room filed with instruments and another room filled with alcohol. The following "jam session" of tragic proportions ensued....
That went on entirely too long (and at 4am) so we moved things to the kitchen. After a short game of "Smiles all around...Not You," Keeley showed us a new one called "Bite the Bag." Very easy concept. You fold a paper bag. You stand on one leg and pick it up with your teeth. After each round you tear the bag to make it an inch shorter. This game proved to be harder than it looked....
...especially for Zac who had to take his pants off just to bend down all the way
One look at Pat meant it was time to go home....
The next day we felt like learning that RadioHead song "Weird Fishes." Thanks for letting us rehearse at your house Keeley, Christy, and Ethan!!
See you in August
